On the philosophy of being ordinary and practical

  As a principle of primary and middle school, I think the philosophy of running a school should coincide with the original intention of the national compulsory education and the social function of compulsory education.

  From the perspective of the content of Education, students learn the most basic knowledge and ability at school, as well as the basic social rules. From the perspective of the aim of Education, students learn the way to be a good citizen. That is to learn to be a ordinary person.

The analysis of the three key factors which affect the students’ growth: school, family and society.

  As for the family aspect, all of the Chinese parents expect their children to succeed. They couldn’t understand or accept the philosophy of being ordinary.

  As for the social aspect, the educational investment of local government is influenced by the development of economy. The school-running is combined with the achievements of government as well as the environment of investment. In addition, the government makes a promise to be responsible for students, which deviates  from the philosophy of being ordinary.
